Origin Story

Our story begins in West Africa.
Dr. Kwadwo Owusu-Ofori presented his graduate research on innovative pain medications at the Ghana Biomedical Convention.

At the conference a Public Health official presented research
on how herbal teas can increase the potency of anti-malaria tablets medicine and advised against using them together.

When Kwadwo returned he was offered a Prestigious Fellowship
with the Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurship to develop a new kind of pharmaceutical company that thinks beyond the pill.

And met the legendary Steve Blank - inventor of LEAN Startup.
Together they designed a new way to build medicine based on engineering techniques used by Google and Apple.

And created a prototype to learn more
about people managing an anxiety disorder to improve their mental health. Satori became the first anti-anxiety coffee creamer.

Then we asked customers to improve the product.
And learned a lot about how people from a wide-variety of cultures manage stress, anxiety, and performance.

Over the next 4 years we developed 9 more versions of Satori
and transformed the feedback into delicious biodegradable K-cups that protect and improve the mental health of you and your loved ones.

Introducing Twi Beverages.
The #1 selling new Hot Cocoa K-cup on Amazon.
